DUONEPHRIL^® contains an evidence-based combination of substances of plant origin, which has nephroprotective properties. DUONEPHRIL^®, in combination with traditional approaches, contributes to the preservation and improvement of renal filtration function by increasing the glomerular filtration rate and hypoazotemic action in chronic kidney disease associated with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and other diseases.

The dusty clover (Lespedeza capitata) extract(Lespedeza capitata) is obtained from a plant of the legume family, originating from northeastern America. Biologically active components of the extract are proanthocyanidins and flavonoids, in particular lespedesin, a well-known natural component with diuretic and nephroprotective properties. Lespedeza extract can be used in renal insufficiency, in particular by persons with heart disease and/or obesity, due to its normolipidemic, hypoazotemic, and diuretic properties. Flavonoids of lespedeza are characterized by powerful antioxidant properties, which are realized in kidney tissue by preventing the development of microinflammation of renal glomeruli.

Silymarin is a flavolignan obtained from holy thistle (Silybum marianum). Holy thistle and its flavonoids are among the most widely used nutraceuticals in the United States and Europe, with a huge evidence base and a broad safety profile. Due to its powerful antioxidant effect, silymarin contributes to an increase in the level of two additional antioxidants: glutathione and superoxide dismutase, including in the renal tissue. Silymarin is concentrated in kidney cells, where it promotes recovery and regeneration, by increasing protein and nucleic acid synthesis. In a randomized controlled trial, it was also found to be effective in reducing proteinuria in patients with type 2 diabetes with nephropathy. The decrease in proteinuria was associated with the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of silymarin. Silymarin has a positive effect on preventing or reducing the severity of cisplatin nephrotoxicity.

Direction for use of Duonephril^®

Ingredients: 1 capsule contains: active ingredients:
Dusty clover (Lespedeza capitata) stem and leaf extract – 300 mg,
Silymarin – 50 mg;
excipients: fillers: microcrystalline cellulose, maltodextrin, calcium stearate, silicon dioxide (orisil), calcium carbonate; capsule shell: gelatin.

Recommendations for use: DUONEPHRIL^® is recommended as an additional source of biologically active substances of plant origin that contribute to the normalization of the functional state of the kidneys.

Biologically active substances of ДУОНЕФРИЛ^® contribute to an increase in renal filtration and diuresis (accelerating the excretion of nitrogenous slags and can help reduce azotemia), reduce oxidative stress and prevent microinflammation by improving the antioxidant protection of cells at different levels, which causes nephroprotective properties in diabetes mellitus and toxic kidney damage by chemotherapy.

How to use and recommended daily intake: Adults should take 1 capsule three times a day, with or without meal, while washing down with enough water.

Recommended intake course: 3 months, but should be determined by a physician individually, taking into account the nature and peculiarities of functional state of the kidneys. If necessary, the course can be repeated.
